IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The charts below give information on the location and types of dance classes young people in a town in Australia are currently attending.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The pie chart illustrates the proportion of location at which dance classes conducted in Australia. On the other hand, the bar chart compares different types of dance classes by age group.

It is evidant that private studios are the most attracting locations with 48% share, while school halls(after-school) accommodates half the number of private studios and shares 24% proportion. College-based studios are the least appealing venues and hosting only 10% youth and the remaining proportion divides among community halls & other spots which captivating 18% youngsters.

Ballent is the type of dance class which hosts large amount of students and peaking at 900 pupils which divides in two categaries on the bases of age and it hosts 600 under the age of 11 and 300 between 11 and 16. Tap is the class which appealing 850 students; 400 below 11 and 450 between 11 and 16. Madern dance classes stands at the lower end with 820 students; 300 under 11 and 520 between 11 to 16.

Private studios hosts most of the students and ballet dance classes are those in which most students enrolled.
