The charts below give information on the location and types of dance classes young people in a town in Australia are currently attending.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The pie chart given below shows the proportion of youth in Australia about the different types of dance classes and where they are attending as well nowadays. What stands out most from the given data is that most children attended their classes in private studios whereas, only few ones choose college-based studios. However, ballet was most famous in the children who were under 11, but the older ones preferred modern dance.

The private studios was the location which was chosen by most children who attended their dance classes. Whereas classes in school halls after school were preferred by only 24% of the Childs. Moreover, community halls and other was aa choice of only 18% of young ones. Furthermore, the least picked one was college-based studios by only 10% of teens.

Additionally, if we talk about dance classes more than 600 children who were under the age of 11 preferred ballet classes whereas, in tap classes both age groups had almost similar ratio of more than 400 students. On the other hand, modern dance was mostly attended by children whose age was between 11 to 16.
