Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have successfully identified the main features of both charts and provided relevant comparisons. You covered the location data and the age-group breakdown for dance types. However, there are some inaccuracies in data reporting; for instance, you state 'around 48%' for private studios, but the chart shows 48%. While you mention the age groups, your description of the bar chart is slightly disjointed. To reach a higher band, ensure that all data points are accurately transcribed and that the overview clearly synthesizes the most significant trends rather than just listing features. The response is well-structured, but more precise data handling would improve the overall quality.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The response is logically organized into paragraphs, with an introduction, an overview, and two body paragraphs. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Moreover', and 'Moving to the rest of the information' to guide the reader. However, the flow is occasionally mechanical, and some transitions feel slightly forced. Referencing is generally clear, but the connection between the two charts could be smoother. Paragraphing is used appropriately, and the progression of ideas is easy to follow, though the internal structure of the paragraphs could be more sophisticated to achieve a higher score.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'proportion', 'illustrates', and 'accounted for'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and minor errors, such as 'Bullet' instead of 'Ballet', 'choose' instead of 'chosen', and 'the highest number of proportion'. These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit the precision of your writing. To improve, focus on using more varied and accurate collocations and ensure that you are using the correct forms of words (e.g., nouns vs. verbs).

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'the highest number of proportion accounted by the people' (passive voice error), 'the lowest type of dance selected... in Modern type' (preposition error), and 'more then' instead of 'more than'. While these errors rarely impede communication, they are persistent. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement, correct verb forms (e.g., 'was chosen' instead of 'was choose'), and consistent use of articles. Increasing the accuracy of your complex sentences will help you move into a higher band.
