Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response covers the main features of the charts, including locations and dance types. However, the analysis is somewhat mechanical and lacks a clear, cohesive overview. While the data is generally accurate, the description of the trends is occasionally confusing, such as the phrase 'are reduce the perform to 24%'. The report identifies the highest and lowest categories but fails to provide a truly integrated comparison between the two charts. To reach a higher band, you should focus on grouping data more logically and ensuring that the overview highlights the most significant trends rather than just listing statistics.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often awkward or incorrect, such as 'In detail' and 'In lowest'. The transitions between sentences are frequently disjointed, and the referencing is sometimes unclear, making the flow feel mechanical. For example, the sentence 'Different traits of dance classes students join , Whereas under 11 age group...' lacks a clear logical connection to the preceding paragraph. Improving the variety and accuracy of linking words would significantly enhance the readability and logical progression of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but there are frequent errors in word choice and collocation that occasionally impede clarity. Phrases like 'propositions of different types' (likely meaning 'proportions') and 'has occupy the maximum record' are non-standard. The range of vocabulary is limited, relying on repetitive structures to describe data. To improve, you should focus on using more precise terminology for describing trends, such as 'account for', 'constitute', or 'represent', and ensure that word forms (nouns vs. verbs) are used correctly in context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include incorrect verb forms ('are join', 'is decline'), missing articles, and awkward sentence construction. For instance, 'In different types of dance classes join by different age group' is grammatically incorrect and difficult to parse. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence structure prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and consistent tense usage will help improve your accuracy.
