Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response covers the main features of the charts, including location and dance types. However, the presentation of data is inconsistent and at times confusing. For instance, the mention of '600 students' for Ballet is not clearly supported by the visual data provided, and the comparison between age groups is somewhat muddled. While the response attempts to report the main features, the lack of clarity in data interpretation and the incomplete sentence at the end ('520 students choose modern classes, so the level of 11 to 16 are half than under 11') hinder the overall task achievement. To improve, ensure that data points are accurately extracted and clearly linked to the categories described.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow of ideas is frequently interrupted by awkward phrasing and mechanical transitions. While cohesive devices like 'To begin with' and 'Further more' are used, they are often followed by sentences that lack logical progression or clear referencing. The connection between the location data and the dance type data is disjointed, making it difficult for the reader to follow the comparison. Paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the paragraphs is weak, often resulting in a list-like presentation of data rather than a coherent analysis.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, with several spelling errors such as 'illustrules' instead of 'illustrates', 'collage-based' instead of 'college-based', and 'bullet' instead of 'ballet'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to convey the information with precision. There is a reliance on basic terms, and the misuse of words like 'agers' and 'highly use' indicates a lack of control over word choice and collocation. To reach a higher band, you should focus on using more precise terminology related to data description, such as 'proportion', 'category', and 'predominant'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are issues with subject-verb agreement ('the large percentage of the people use'), incorrect preposition usage, and sentence fragments. Complex structures are attempted but are often faulty, such as 'the level of 11 to 16 are half than under 11'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing commas and run-on sentences. The majority of the sentences contain errors, which prevents the response from reaching a higher band. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement would be beneficial.
