The charts below give information on the location and types of dance classes young people in a town in Australia are currently attending.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The chart illustrates the percentages of location and the types of dance classes with the number of attendees which are attended by the youth in a town in Australia.

Overall private studios and school halls accommodate majority of the dance classes, while college based studios are least preferable locations.

48% of the youth prefer private dance studios. The percentage of young people who attend the classes in the school halls after the school is 24%. 18% attend in community halls while only 10% attend in college based studios.

The number of young people attending these dance classes is categorized into 2 types which are under 11 and age 11 to 16. Majority of youth under 11 likes to learn ballet with the total number of 600, while modern style dance classes are popular in people 11-16 with more then 500 students. 300 students aging 11-16 also take part in ballet classes , while same number of students under 11 take modern dance classes. 450 and 410 are the numbers of students aging under 11 and 11-16 respectively learning tap.
