The charts below give information on the location and types of dance classes young people in a town in Australia are currently attending.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The charts illustrates the percentage of location for dance classes and the types, participated by different age group in a town in Australia.

Overall, the most amount of classes is held at private studios where college-based studios holds for the least of them, while Ballet is the most participated type of dance by the group, who are under the age of 11 and the 11-16 age group, majority of them attend the modern dance class.

Looking at the pie chart in detail, private studios organize 48% of the classes which is the highest of all. Community halls and other places hold 18% of the classes, while school hall represents 24% of them. The lowest amount of classes are conducted by the college based studios which is 10% of the total proportion.

It is clearly noticeable from the bar chart that young people, under the age of 11, 600 of them attend Ballet dance class which is the highest among all. being the lowest of the three, modern dance class holds for only 300 of them. For 11 to 16 year aged students, majority of the students attend modern dance class, while only 300 of them take part in ballet.
