The charts below give information on the location and types of dance classes young people in a town in Australia are currently attending.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The pie chart illustrates the prefferend locations for dance classes in an Australian town, while the bar chart represent the number of enrollment numbers across three distinct dance styles divided between two age groups.

Overall, private studios are by far the most popular venue for dance classes. In term of dance categories, younger chidren lean heavily prefer ballet, whereas older youth prefer modern dance classes.

Regarding the locations, private studios nearly capture half of dance participants at 48%. School hall have nearly a quater of total participant after school classes, followed by a 18% participation rate in community hall and other miscellaneous venues. After then comes colleges based studios which has least participation having only 10% participations rate.

Looking at the data, it shows that ballet have the highest number of student particiants, attracting 600 students under 11 years old but only 300 from the age category from 11-16. While nearly 510 kids between age of 11-16 prefer modern dance classes. Tap dance classes have a balanced participation about 450 younger kids and around 420 older kids.
