The charts below give information on the location and types of dance classes young people in a town in Australia are currently attending.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
The pie chart provides information about location of dance classes in Australia. The bar chart compares information of three types of dance classes for certain age groups.
Overall, half of the location is contributed by private studios, whereas smallest share represents by college based studios. People who are under 11 have more interested in ballet. However, modern dance classes are attended by mid year group between 11-16.
Turning to pie chart representation, the location of dance classes in school halls is about 24 percent. People are likely to go to private studios for dance practice is 48 percentage. College based studios and community halls are least locations which is 10 to 18 percent.
Looking forward to bar chart, people who are between 11-16 have more passionate about modern dance in compare to ballet. In contrast to under 11 age group, they have moderate interest in modern dance classes than ballet dance classes. Surprisingly, equal candidates of both age groups are seen in tap classes.
