IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The charts below give information on the location and types of dance classes young people in a town in Australia are currently attending.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
The pie chart illustrates the data of which areas dance classes are arranged and the bar graph represents the information on types of dance prefered by different age groups.
Overall, a significant number of the classes are organized at privated studios and after that at school halls, after school hours. Whereas, ballet dance is prefered by under 11 compared to younger adult chossing modern dance.
To begin with, area where the classes are schedule, private studios has the highest ratio of classes of 48% as compared with school halls that contribute 24%. However, the community halls manage about 18% while college-based studio contribute the lowest value of 10%.
Moreover, the peak number of bellow 11 students opt for ballet dance around 600 students, while around 450 students choose tap and the least number of students around 300 single out modern dance. Compared with younger adults, where the trend is fully opppsite the maximum number of students prefer modern dance by just over 500 students and the lowest number of around 300 opt for ballet.
In conclusion, the private studio is the best location for dance practice while below 11 choose ballet the college going students prefer modern dance.
