The charts below give information on the location and types of dance classes young people in a town in Australia are currently attending.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The pie chart describes the location of dance classes in Australia, while the bar chart gives the detail information on types of dance classes in which new generations are currently attending.
Overall, it is observed that most of the young people prefers to go to private studios and the most popular dance classes among these generations are ballet and modern dance.
In the pie chart, it can easily observed that 48% of young people prefer to go to private studios; whereas, 24% of young people prefers to go at school halls. 18% of young people go to community halls and other for dance classes. Only 10% of this age group go to college-based studios.
In the bar chart, it is observed that the categories of dance classes are divided into 2 groups which are under 11 years and 11-16 years respectively. It is observed that the highest demand among under 11 years is of ballet dance and the least demand is of modern dance. In the category of 11-16 years group the highest demand is of modern dance and least is of ballet dance. The demand of tap dance is almost same among the two age groups.
