The charts below give information on the location and types of dance classes young people in a town in Australia are currently attending.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The pie chart and the bar graph provide the information of the location and types of dance classes among young people who are currently attending in a town of Australia.
Overall, Private studios is most common place for dance classes, while college-based studios accounting at small proportion. In the term of dance classes types, Ballet is the most popular in the children under 11, whereas modern dance is famous among the children who aged 11-16.
According to the pie chart, private studios is most common location for the dance classes, accounting at 48%. Followed by the school halls, 24% students take dance classes in school hall after the school. A further 18% takes place in community halls and other, while the 10% students goes to college-based studios for dance classes.
The bar chart shows the clear difference in the types of dance in two different age groups. Among children under 11, Ballat is the most popular dance type in children , approximately with 600 students. Followed by tap attracting around 450 students, moden dance at only 300 students. By contrast, Modern is the most favourite dance in the 11-16 years old children with more than 500 students. Tap attract 410 students. Ballet is the most least choosing dance for the 11-16 old children.
