The charts below give information on the location and types of dance classes young people in a town in Australia are currently attending.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The given pie chart and bar graph illustrate information about the locations and varieties of dance classes that young people are currently attending in a town in Australia.

Overall, it can be seen that most people attend classes in private studios, while ballet has the highest number of participants.

To begin with, the majority of individuals attend dance classes in private studios. Dance classes in school halls after school are attended by almost 24% of people. In community halls and other locations, 18% of individuals attend classes. Only 10% of people attend classes in college-based studios.

Ballet dance classes are attended by almost 900 people, of whom 600 are under 11 years old and 300 are between 11 and 16 years old. Nearly 450 individuals under 11 and slightly more than 400 in the second age group have joined tap classes. Modern dance classes are attended by slightly more than 800 people, of whom 300 individuals are under 11 years old.
