IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The charts below give information on the location and types of dance classes young people in a town in Australia are currently attending.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The pie chart illustrates infromation on the venue of dance classes, while the bar graph elaborate types of dance classes attending by different age group in Australia.

Overall, the private studio significantly cover the more area. Coversely, the amount of teenagers participating in ballet dance is noticeable decline.

In pie chart the private studio take large number of space, accounting for 48%. In contrast, the proportation of school hall allocated half of the private studio (24%). Meanwhile, the percentage of community halls and other has spent 18%, rest of the 10% based on colleges.

The bar graph shows the student spending time in diferent dance by different age group. The participants of under 11 age group has 600 in ballet dance, whereas teens plunged 300 from the ballet. The proportation of tap dance in both the age group remain relatively stable, experiencing only a minor decreased from 450 to 440. Finally, mordern dance class consuming more time by youngster around 510 students, where 300 participants of under 11 which is very less as compared to teens.
