The charts below give information on the location and types of dance classes young people in a town in Australia are currently attending.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The pie chart and bar graph illustrates the location and three different types of dance classes by various age group that youngster are currently attending in a town in Australia. The data are calibrated in percentage and number.
Overall, it is evident that private studios are most popular while college based studios seems unfavored by young people. On the other hand, Ballet dance classes are preferred most by under 11, meanwhile modern classes are well like by the age group 11 to 16.
Looking at the location of dance classes, private studios maintain largest proportion of 48% participants while school halls ranked second by contributing 24%. Additionally, community halls and other and college based studio followed with 18% and 10% respectively.
The dance classes that stood out the most remain Ballet with 600 students, while modern remaining the lowest with 300 participant for under 11 age group. Meanwhile, tap dance classes accounted 450 students for classes. As for the age group between 11-16 modern dance classes is the highest with 510 participants, on the other hand tap and ballet dance classes with around 410 and 300 respectively.
