The charts below give information on the location and types of dance classes young people in a town in Australia are currently attending.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The charts provide data on the area and kinds of dance classes younsters are attending in Australia.
Overall, it is evident that private studios accounted for the highest percentage. While the location of college-based studios are least popular. Children who are under 11 participated more in ballet dance however, young people age group from 11-16 are more interested in modern type.
In detail, the first pie chart gives information about location of dance classes in Australia. Private studios show significantly high percentage at 48%. In addition, the college- based studios are least famous location of dance at 10%. Meanwhile, school halls (after-school) area is at 24%, and 18% young people visit the community halls and other for dance lessons.
In contrast, there are three types of dance classes such as ballet, tap and modern. Students who are under 11 attend more classes of ballet dance at 600 however, 400 children engage in tap and just 300 in modern classes. Similarly, teenagers with age group of 11-16 are more interested in modern at 500, while least students of this age attend ballet. In the case of tap youngsters of under 11 or 11-16 age remain almost similar between 400 to 500.
