The charts below give information on the location and types of dance classes young people in a town in Australia are currently attending.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The pie-chart and bar garph illustrate the location and types of dance classes young people in a town in Australia are currently attending.
Overall, private studios operate most of the dance class with ballet dance being popular for children under 11 and mordern dance being popular among childern from age group 11 to 16.
A detailed analysis of the chart shows that majority of dance class is operate by private studios, accounting for 48%, Following this almost a quarter (24%) of dance class is operate by shool halls; whereas community halls and other makes up for 18% and remaning 10% is comprised of college-based studios.
Furthermore, ballet dance is the most popular dance among children under 11, accounting 600 students. This is followed by tap which is practise by 450 students and Mordern is olny practise by 300 students. On the other hand mordern is the most popular dance among childern between 11 to 16, which is comprise of 530 students then tap which is learned by 430 students and at last ballet where there are only 300 students.
