The charts below give information on the location and types of dance classes young people in a town in Australia are currently attending.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
The pie chart illustrates the proportion of different locations of dance classes and the bar chart provides information on types of dance classes by age group in a town in Australia.
Overall, Private studios accounts for largest proportion than the other locations. Modren dance has higher number of children, while ballet accounts for higher number of teenagers.
Nowadays, Private studios comprise of largest loaction of dance classes which is 48%, school halls accounts for the second largest place about 24%. community halls and other make up 18%. College-based students covers the smallest proportion which is roughly 24%.
In modern era, there are three types of dance which include: Modern, Tap, Ballet. Children under 11 are most interested in Ballet dance there are almost 600 students, they have least interest in Modren dance there are only 300 children. Modren dance have more than 500 children aged 11-16, these children are less interested in ballet. In contrast, Tap form dance is liked by every age group, it have 400 teenagers and almost 450 adult students
