The charts below give information on the location and types of dance classes young people in a town in Australia are currently attending.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The charts provide data about the location and sorts of dance classes young people in a town in Australia are currently joining.
Overall, about location, private studios have the largest number while college-based studios is the least figure. In addition, regarding types of dance classes (by age group), under 11 are the highest participants whereas 11-16 are the smallest number.
As for location of dance classes, 48% children visit private studios - by far the highest. The figure for school halls (after-school) account for 24%, which is the second highest figure. Community halls & others are the third position with 18%. College-based studios is the smallest proportion at 10% only.
In terms of types of dance classes (by age group), under 11 are joined at ballet most with 600 while 11-16s are 300 exactly halved. Again, under 11 children are the highest participants with 450 whereas the figure for 11-16 years are 430. In contrast, modern classes are joined most children with age of 11-16 at 520. Under 11 young children join in modern classes with 300.
