The charts below give information on the location and types of dance classes young people in a town in Australia are currently attending.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.5)
The pie chart illustrates the distribution of venue of the dance clases youth is attenting in Australia. While the bar graph indicates the age group of the young people taking part in these classes.
Majorly the private studios are being utilized as a venue for the dance classes holding 48% of total. The second most utilized spot are the school halls which serves as dancing class venue after the school hours, it holds 24% of overall. The community halls and college based stuidos holds relatively smaller percentage contributing to rest of toal in the chart.
The second chart illustrates the different types of dance classes and the age group of students among these classes. There are two major groups "kids Under 11" and "kids aging between 11 to 16" participating in the dance classes. Based on chart, the ballet dance classes are most popular among kids who are under 11 as it has around 600 pupils enrolled in it. While the kids ranging from 11-16 are majorly interested in modern dance, more than 500 students are enrolled in modern dance category.
The tap dance is almost equally populated among both age groups. More than 400 students from each age group are taking part in tap dance.
