The charts below give information on the location and types of dance classes young people in a town in Australia are currently attending.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
The charts display information on the location and types of dance classes young people in a town in Australia are now attending. Both charts reveals some informative facts.
It is clear the location of dance classes is represented in pie chart. In the graph, 10% are college-based studios, school halls consist 24% where as community hall and other accounts for 18%, private studio has maximum share in the chart, as it carries 48%.
Moreover, types of dance classes by age group are expressed in bar graph. It reveals that ballet is mostly chosen by under 11 which accounts for more than 600 students whereas 11-16 age group prefer less than 300 which is least. More than 450 students prefer tap who belong to under 11 age group but only near to 425 students like who belong to 11-16 age group. Students who belong to 11-16 mostly prefers modern type which comprises more than 520 whereas under 11 least prefer the modern type which accounts for 300.
To conclude, in australia private studio has the maximum share and college based studio has the minimum share. Age group under 11 prefer the ballet dance more compared to the age group 11-16, but modern dance is prefered more by the age group 11-16 and least preferd by under 11.
