The charts below give information on the location and types of dance classes young people in a town in Australia are currently attending.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The pie chart and bar chart illustrate the placement of four dance institutes in a town in Australia and also presents the interests of young people in different styles of dance according to their age.
Overall, the highest proportion contains by private studios that is accounted for nearly half of the total while, college based studios represent the lowest figure. School halls and community halls and other present moderate portions each. Ballet is the most popular style of dance among youngsters under 11, in contrast the modern style is famous in young people above 11. Tap style maintained its position moderatly among both.
Private studios shares the largest portion of participans with 48% whereas, College based studios accounted for lowest number of 10%. School halls that operates after the school grab 24% of participants, community halls and other clubs are second least popular in the town by the percentage of 18.
Among the types of dances, Ballet dance has the highest number of youngsters under 11 by 600 approximately, in contrast, only 300 are really interested in the modern dance. Conversaly, among students under 11 to 16 modern dance has the highest number by 500 and 300 for Ballet dance. Tap dance shared the comparatively equal number among both age groups, 420 students under 11 and 450 students between 11 and 16.
