The charts below give information on the location and types of dance classes young people in a town in Australia are currently attending.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The charts illustrate the locations where young people in an Australian town attend dance classes and the types of dance classes they take, divided into two age groups.
Overall, private studios are by far the most popular venue for dance classes, while college-based studios are the least common. In terms of dance styles, ballet is most popular among children under 11, whereas modern dance attracts the highest number of students aged 11–16.
Regarding the location of classes, almost half of all students (48%) attend lessons in private studios. School halls account for nearly a quarter of participants (24%), while community halls and other venues make up 18% . College-based studios are the least preferred location, representing only 10% of attendance.
Looking at the types of dance classes, ballet is particularly popular among younger children, with approximately 600 students under the age of 11 taking part, compared with about 300 students aged 11–16. Tap dancing shows a more balanced distribution, attracting around 450 younger students and 420 older students.
