Student answer (Band 5.5)
These pie and bar graph demonstrate the location and different kinds of dance lectures in which younger individuals of a society in power country like Austrialia are participating right now.
Overall we observe that nearly a half location of the classes is occupied by the private studios.Comparitively, only a small slice upto 10% is capture by the college-based studios. On the flip side of a coin, we see that population under 11 are more fasinating in various forms of the dance. Altough civilians from 11-16 are participating in the modern classes rather than the childern.
Moreover, we don't see any strict competetion between various location of the dance lectures. Major ratio is covered by the Private studios upto half. While nearly a quarter portion is occupied by the school halls. Furthermore, community halls is also taking part in it with the participation of 18%.
Additionally, when we distinguish the forms of dance classes on the basis of population age cretaria. We will find out that childern favoriet type is ballet in which the participation is much higher upto the 600. Consequently, in the tap form both age group show almost same interest. But superb thing is that Gen Z are taking part in the modern type of dance with the ratio of 510 which is much greater than the childern.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You cover both charts and identify several important features: private studios are the largest location category at 48%, college-based studios are the smallest at 10%, and the age groups show different preferences for ballet and modern dance. The figures you give for ballet (600) and modern dance (about 510) are close to the chart, and your description of tap as similar between groups is also supported. This meets the task well overall. However, the overview that children are more interested in dance “in various forms” is too broad: under-11s lead in ballet and slightly in tap, but older students lead clearly in modern. Develop the comparisons more precisely, including the 300-versus-520 modern figures and the 450-versus-420 tap figures, to make the main trends clearer.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, moving from an introduction and overview to separate discussion of locations and dance types. Paragraphing helps distinguish the two chart topics, and linking expressions such as “Moreover” and “Additionally” signal new points. However, progression is not consistently clear: the second paragraph repeats the private-studio and school-hall information already given in the overview, while phrases such as “On the flip side of a coin” do not express a precise relationship between the data. Some references, including “it” in the location paragraph, are vague. Group the location figures once, then compare the age groups systematically by dance type, using clear contrasts such as “whereas” and “by comparison.”
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt a range of vocabulary, including “participating,” “distinguish,” and “participation,” and the reader can generally understand the intended comparisons. However, several choices are inaccurate or unnatural for describing charts, which limits precision: “dance lectures” should be “dance classes,” “a society in power country” is unclear, and “population” and “civilians” are unsuitable for the students shown. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “Austrialia,” “fascinating,” “children,” and “criteria.” Expressions such as “flip side of a coin” and “superb thing” are conversational rather than appropriate for an academic report. Prefer straightforward, accurate chart language and check spelling and collocations carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple statements and some longer structures, for example the contrast between older students’ modern-dance participation and children’s preferences. Meaning is usually recoverable, but some grammatical errors and punctuation problems remain. The opening “These pie and bar graph demonstrate” has a plural subject with an incorrect verb form; “nearly a half location” lacks a clear grammatical structure; and “community halls is” has subject–verb disagreement. Several sentences also have awkward clause construction, such as “when we distinguish … on the basis of population age cretaria. We will find out,” where the introductory clause is separated from its main idea. Review agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries, and aim for a mix of accurate simple comparisons and controlled complex sentences.
