Private studios incorporate the major share of accounting to 48%. Most of the dance sessions are organized at this spot. Whereas, the minimal dance classes are held at the college-based studios. School halls are also reserved for dance periods but the sessions take place after school. Approximately 24% of the classes are held in this region. Community halls and other are also a considerable spot for the sessions but only 18% of the classes are held here.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You cover both visuals and identify the main location, private studios, as the largest category at 48%, while correctly noting the 24% for school halls and 18% for community halls. You also report the broad age-group contrast in modern and ballet. However, some key information is missing or unclear: the smallest location, college-based studios, is not given its 10% figure, and the bar-chart comparisons are incomplete. The response says nearly 500 older students prefer modern and 300 younger students take modern, but omits that younger students’ ballet figure is about 600 and older students’ ballet figure about 300; tap is not discussed. The final overview is vague rather than summarising the strongest comparisons. Select and compare the main figures more systematically.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph on locations, a paragraph on dance types and ages, and a concluding sentence. This gives the reader an overall route through both visuals. However, progression within the paragraphs is uneven, and some linking is mechanical or confusing. “Whereas” begins a fragment, while “On the other hand” is repeated and one instance is followed by a full stop that breaks the sentence. The shift from location percentages to age-group figures is understandable, but the bar-chart details are not organised consistently by age or dance type. Grouping the location figures together, then comparing the two age groups across ballet, tap and modern, would make the relationships clearer and cohesion less dependent on repeated connectors.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a range of task-related vocabulary, including “private studios,” “college-based studios,” “categorized,” and “age distributions,” so the topic is generally clear. However, several word choices and collocations are unnatural or imprecise, which limits clarity: “spots” for locations, “accounting to 48%,” “reserved for dance periods,” and “highly keen of” do not express the intended meanings naturally. “Major likeliness” is also unsuitable for describing student numbers or preferences. There is some repetition of “dance sessions” and “students,” and the typo “Adtditionally” detracts from accuracy. Aim for direct, conventional chart language such as “accounted for,” “were held,” “the largest number,” and “preferred,” while avoiding inflated phrasing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, and most of the information remains understandable. However, some sentence structures are incomplete or awkwardly joined. “Whereas, the minimal dance classes are held…” is a fragment, and “Majority of the students … and the lie between 11 and 16 years” has a missing article and an unclear clause structure. There are also agreement and punctuation problems: “the bar graph portray” and “The pie chart and bar graph clearly demonstrates” use singular verbs with plural subjects, while “On the other hand.” incorrectly separates the connector from the following sentence. Check subject–verb agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries, and revise fragments into complete clauses. More accurate control of these patterns would make the comparisons easier to follow.
