Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5

You attempt to discuss both positive and negative aspects, and you give examples such as eating green vegetables and the possible health effects of junk food. However, the response only partially addresses the actual question: it focuses mainly on healthy versus unhealthy eating and street markets, rather than whether access to food produced around the world is a positive or negative development. Your position is also unclear: you say both sides are beneficial, then recommend healthy food and limiting junk food. The examples are not sufficiently connected to international food availability, and several ideas are difficult to follow. The response is also 19 words below the required minimum. To improve, state a clear view on global food choice and develop relevant reasons, such as variety, year-round availability, or effects on local producers.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is a basic attempt to organise the response into an introduction, a paragraph beginning “to begin with,” a contrasting paragraph, and a conclusion. The phrase “On the other hand” signals a change in direction, and the conclusion returns to your preference for healthier eating. However, progression is difficult to follow because the first body paragraph does not clearly explain its point, while the second shifts between tourism, food quality, junk food, and health problems. Some linking phrases are used mechanically, and references such as “both views” are unclear because the views have not been defined consistently. Use one main idea per paragraph, connect each example directly to that idea, and make the introduction and conclusion express the same clear position.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt some topic-related vocabulary, including “obesity,” “green vegetables,” “high blood pressure,” and “diabetes,” and you use contrastive expressions such as “On the other hand.” However, vocabulary is often inaccurate, repetitive, or difficult to understand. Phrases such as “financial statement is good,” “food produce all over the food,” and “disimpact” do not communicate your intended meaning clearly. Spelling errors, including “upnion,” “obeisty,” and “beacuse,” also reduce clarity. Build a more reliable range of words for the actual topic, such as “imported food,” “international products,” “consumer choice,” and “local farmers,” and check spelling and collocations carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You make some attempts to form longer sentences, for example by giving reasons with “because” and adding examples with “for instance.” However, sentence structures are frequently incomplete or inaccurately formed, which makes several ideas hard to understand. The opening, “in this modern era, many people going to purchaising food,” lacks a correctly formed main verb, and “people the both postive and negative” does not form a complete clause. There are also problems with articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries, as in “there are also cons of food produce all over the food people visit.” Practise building clear subject–verb sentences first, then join related ideas with accurate conjunctions and punctuation.
