Student answer (Band 6.0)

Food is the basic necessity of human beings.Having foods available at the easiest convenience like in the supermarkets in many countries reflect their acceptence of diversity around the globe. In my opinion it is a very positive development that is mostly appreciated by people .

Food is one of the most important thing that can introduce people to muliple cultures and diversities in a country.Having a supermarket near to your house to try buy food produced all over the world is a gesture of acceptence to multiple diversities around the globe. It is the main curosity of the people to try the food they see on the internet and mainly the social media algorithm shows people the food that is mostly cooked outside of their own country. This curosity builds up the urge to try something delicious that they have recently seen on the internet and if such foods are present at supermarkets near their home it gives them a sense of relief and also it can benefit to the economy of the country.

In addition mostly students go abroad for their higher studies along with people from different countries going abroad for their professional career. If they can easily find something to eat that lets them experience the food and warmth of their own country ,they become very happy and appreciated.

Mostly students do not find the food they like in the country they move to such as it is very difficult for the muslim community students to get their hands on halal food around the globe which makes it difficult for them to try out new things and get the warmth of their own country abroad. If halal food is present in the nearby supermarkets it would be a huge help and sense of relief to the students that are muslim as halal and haram food concept is taken very serious in thier religious life.

Overall more of such development initiatives should be taken around the globe for the ease of iternational people in the country as it helps them and and also the economy of the country.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear from the introduction: you consider worldwide food availability a positive development, and the conclusion reinforces this view. You give relevant reasons, including cultural curiosity, economic benefits, and the comfort international students may gain from finding familiar or halal food. These examples address the question, but they are not developed equally. The point about curiosity and social media is explained at some length, while the claim that imports benefit the economy is only briefly stated and not supported with an example or explanation. The discussion of students also repeats the idea of comfort without exploring the wider effects of access to international food. Develop each main reason with a specific example and clearer explanation of its significance.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has an overall structure, moving from an introduction to reasons and then a concluding statement. Paragraphs generally group related material: the discussion of online food trends is separate from the points about students and halal food. However, progression within the body is sometimes repetitive, particularly where the student’s comfort and connection to home are mentioned several times. Connectors such as “In addition” and “Overall” help signal movement, but some links are mechanical, and the relationship between the claim about economic benefits and the surrounding ideas is not made clear. Use topic sentences to establish each paragraph’s main point, then develop it without repeating earlier claims. Clearer referencing and transitions would make the argument easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “diversity,” “curiosity,” “professional career,” and “halal and haram,” which helps communicate your examples. There are also attempts to express abstract ideas, such as food introducing people to different cultures. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, including “easiest convenience,” “main curiosity,” and “a gesture of acceptance to multiple diversities.” Spelling errors such as “acceptence,” “curosity,” and “thier” also reduce accuracy. Some key terms, especially “diversity,” “food,” and “students,” are repeated frequently. Aim for more precise collocations and vary repeated vocabulary; proofreading spelling and choosing natural phrases will make your meaning clearer and more fluent.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “If halal food is present … it would be a huge help” and longer sentences explaining students’ experiences. The main ideas are generally understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. For example, “Food is one of the most important thing” has a singular-plural agreement problem, while “Having foods available … reflect” has an agreement error and an unclear sentence structure. Missing or misplaced punctuation also creates run-on sentences, particularly in the long sentence beginning “Mostly students do not find the food they like.” Review subject–verb agreement, articles, plural forms, and sentence boundaries. Breaking long sentences into clearer units would improve control while preserving your attempts at complex grammar.
