Student answer (Band 5.5)

It can be seen that in today's world the buyers can go to the shops and markets and get food items of their own choice, maufactured by different countries. Some people may believe that this is beneficial for them while others have a different perspective from them. However, both ideas have great significance and I will explain my point of view to give answer.

In many developed nations like USA, UK,Canada, Asia or Australia, there is a variety of processed foods supplied in the resturants and food spots. Citizens can easily get the cultural foods from anywhere in the country. For instance, a muslim living in another environment needs halal food. Not only that, followers of other religions also want to eat their nutritional products and dishes. To fulfill their requirements developed countries help everyone to have their dietry options. It is a facility for those who live away from their homes. Besides, individuals love enjoying consuming products of other tastes and styles. Having that options in your own city without inconvenience of moving to other places is another kind of joy. It can be seen that you can go to eateries in UK and take pleasure in trying chinese foods.

If we talk about the drawbacks, it cannot be neglected that some chefs are not able to give you taste like your own country. Also, the products are sometimes rotten or are not cooked well so that they may result giving you a different taste or not getting the feel of our homeland.

Keeping in view both arguements my mindset is that it has a positive impact on a society having foreigners with sometimes keeping the troubles in consideration.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You give a view that access to international food is positive, and you support it with relevant points about religious dietary needs, people living away from home, and enjoying different cuisines. These examples show an understanding of the topic. However, the position is not consistently clear: the introduction says you will explain your view, while the conclusion describes a positive impact but adds an unclear qualification about “keeping the troubles in consideration.” The negative point about food being poorly prepared or spoiled is also brief and does not explain how significant this drawback is. Develop the comparison more fully and state your position directly in both the introduction and conclusion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, moving from an introduction to benefits, drawbacks, and a concluding view. Linking expressions such as “For instance,” “Besides,” and “If we talk about the drawbacks” help signal the direction of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the discussion shifts from religious food needs to personal enjoyment without fully connecting these ideas, and the drawbacks are compressed into a short section. Some references, such as “both ideas” and “that options,” are not clear or consistent. Use one main idea per paragraph, connect each example explicitly to the argument, and make the conclusion follow clearly from the points discussed.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “cultural foods,” “halal food,” “dietary options,” and “positive impact,” which helps communicate the main ideas. There are also attempts at less common phrasing, such as “followers of other religions” and “inconvenience of moving to other places.” However, several word choices and collocations sound unnatural or imprecise, including “manufactured by different countries,” “food spots,” and “give you taste like your own country.” Spelling errors such as “maufactured,” “resturants,” and “arguements” are noticeable. Choose more natural expressions for food that is produced or imported, and proofread spelling and collocations to make your meaning easier to follow.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including “Not only that, followers of other religions also want…” and “Having that options in your own city… is another kind of joy.” The main message is generally understandable, but errors in sentence construction and grammatical forms occur often enough to make some sentences awkward. For example, “Having that options” has a number-agreement problem, while “so that they may result giving you” has an incorrect verb pattern. The opening sentence also has an unclear structure, and punctuation is inconsistent, as in “UK,Canada.” Practise accurate noun phrases, verb patterns, and sentence boundaries, then check each sentence for agreement and punctuation.
