Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays due to technological advancements, it is convenient for customers to go a mart and buy food produced all over the world. From my perspective, this is a positive development due to several factors.

To begin with, supermarket offers a vast variety of items, especially related to food. People choose to bestow options, through reading the ingredient lists of every product, according to the need and usage of consumers. For instance, people can maintain a balanced diet by eating a variety of nutrious foods. Therefore, it by pass the traditional culture by providing. plenty of options. Moreover, these stores offer food for patients which can improve their fitness and medical wel-being; for example, they offer varitey of sugar free drinks to prevent the risk of diabetics and obesity.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

Your position is clear: you consider worldwide food availability a positive development, and you give relevant reasons, including greater food choice and easier shopping. Examples such as sugar-free drinks and access to food for patients help connect your points to everyday benefits. However, the response addresses the task only partially because the ideas are brief and some claims are unclear or insufficiently explained—for example, how supermarkets “by pass the traditional culture” and how they “enhance urban community.” The response is also 64 words below the required minimum; the eight words copied from the prompt were not counted. Develop each reason with a clearer explanation or specific example, and explain how access to international food itself supports your position.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “To begin with” and “Furthermore,” and a conclusion. These markers help readers identify the main points, and the ideas generally relate to your positive view. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow. In the first body paragraph, variety, ingredient lists, balanced diets, traditional culture, and patient foods are introduced without clear links between them. The phrase “Therefore, it by pass the traditional culture by providing. plenty of options” interrupts the flow, while the conclusion repeats the general benefits rather than bringing the reasons together. Use one main idea per paragraph, connect each example explicitly to that idea, and check punctuation and referencing so the relationships are clear.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “ingredient lists,” “balanced diet,” “traffic congestion,” and “social interaction,” which helps communicate your main points. There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “sugar free drinks” and “medical well-being.” However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make parts of the response harder to understand. “Bestow options” is not a natural way to describe consumer choice, and “food for patients which can improve their fitness” is imprecise. Spelling errors such as “nutrious,” “varitey,” and “supermaket” are noticeable. Build accuracy by learning common collocations for shopping and nutrition, and proofread spelling and word forms before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple sentences and longer structures, including “as instead of moving on roads and looking for the required vendors now one can get his/her desired food at one place.” This shows an effort to explain cause and effect, but the range is limited and complex attempts are often faulty. Subject–verb agreement is inconsistent: “supermarket offers” and “it reduce” should use plural or singular forms consistently, while “It also enhance” needs an -s ending. The sentence beginning “Not only make shopping easy” lacks a clear subject and auxiliary, and “as bring people” is also incomplete. Punctuation is sometimes confusing, as in “providing. plenty.” Practise complete sentence patterns, agreement, and parallel structures, then check each sentence for a subject and finite verb.
