Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

The response addresses all parts of the prompt, clearly stating a positive position in the introduction and maintaining it throughout. The ideas are relevant, such as cultural exchange, consumer choice, and economic benefits. However, some points are under-developed; for example, the mention of 'international trades' and 'aiding developing countries' is brief and lacks specific explanation or evidence. The counter-argument is acknowledged but dismissed quickly. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your examples with more depth and ensure that the link between your arguments and the prompt is more robustly articulated.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0

The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices such as 'To begin', 'Moreover', 'In addition', and 'Furthermore' are used to link ideas. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly repetitive. There are also minor issues with referencing; for instance, in the sentence 'the buyer territories will be benefited', the term 'buyer territories' is unclear in context. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion, which helps the reader follow the progression of your argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'globalization', 'conventional store', and 'recapitulate'. There are some instances of awkward word choice or collocation, such as 'experiment with their tongue' (a more natural phrase would be 'broaden their palate') and 'exotics fruits' (should be 'exotic fruits'). While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more precise vocabulary usage. You attempt to use less common items, but they are not always used with complete accuracy.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'In recent days, there is in an argument' (redundant 'in'), 'can to be cultivated' (incorrect verb form), and 'it mat bring' (typo). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are minor slips throughout. While the meaning is usually clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and eliminating redundant prepositions will significantly improve your accuracy.
