Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the modern era everybody prefer to go supermarket and buy food product all the world. I Partially agree that it is positive and as well as negative development.
On the one hand, people of many countries nowadays consumers can go to supermarket for there basic daily life product as they can able to check its quality of the material which they going to or they prefer go to supermarkets that they get large verity of products like they can buy the onions of the any countries. While, they can try any unique and popular food of other counties that can give interest to the people to try new things and though this other people get opportunities to start they new start ups and it create job.
On the other side, this can be the negative development because the local and food product are become less popular in countries and traditional food also extract as everyone are following the trend and wanted to try other countries food. For example, they can try the noodle from south Korea.
In conclusion, this development can be the positive development though the various ways mentioned above and can be negative as well as for the local wander.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both positive and negative aspects of global food availability. However, the essay is significantly under the 250-word minimum, which limits the depth of the arguments. The ideas are presented but remain underdeveloped; for instance, the point about 'start-ups' is mentioned but not explained, and the example of 'noodles from South Korea' is too brief to support the argument effectively. The position is clear, but the lack of sufficient word count and supporting detail prevents a higher band score. To improve, you must expand on your points with specific examples and logical explanations to meet the length requirement.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is mechanical and sometimes inaccurate, such as the awkward transition 'While, they can try...' and the repetitive use of 'this development can be'. Referencing is occasionally unclear, particularly in the conclusion where the phrase 'local wander' is confusing and does not clearly link back to the previous arguments. While there is an overall attempt at a logical flow, the lack of sophisticated linking words and the limited development of ideas make the progression feel somewhat disjointed.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive. You rely on basic terms like 'good', 'bad', and 'things', and there are several errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'food product are become less popular' and 'traditional food also extract'. The phrase 'local wander' in the conclusion is also unclear. To reach a higher band, you need to use a wider range of vocabulary, including less common lexical items related to the topic of globalisation and trade, and ensure that your word choices are precise and grammatically appropriate for the context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement ('everybody prefer', 'everyone are following'), article usage ('the onions of the any countries'), and sentence structure. Many sentences are simple or contain fragments, such as 'I Partially agree that it is positive and as well as negative development.' There is a lack of complex sentence structures, and the errors in basic grammar are noticeable throughout the text. Focusing on sentence construction and proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement will significantly improve your score.
