Otherwise, In past people needs to travel for miles to get there daily needs. Supermarkets mostly have the basic needs of daily use. Supermarkets are consist of wheat, flour, milk, butter, bread and water etc. Supermarkets was one of the advantageous innovation for humans. We can get everything of our daily needs from one place. It saves lot of time of many people.

Supermarket ought to be in every town so people can get their groceries. As it will save our money and time both. The government should provides place to the people who are interested in opening a supermarket. As this is a big advantage for the residents. And I guess we get the things less expensive from supermarkets than nearby shops. And bachelor people can get fried items which are really helpful for them. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the topic of supermarkets but fails to engage with the specific prompt regarding the global nature of food production. The essay focuses entirely on the convenience of supermarkets as a local facility rather than discussing the implications of importing food from all over the world. Consequently, the response is largely off-topic. While the writer takes a position that supermarkets are an 'advantageous innovation,' the lack of development regarding the global aspect of the prompt limits the score. To improve, you must ensure your arguments directly address the specific question asked in the prompt rather than writing a general essay about the topic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is repetitive. The same points—saving time and the need for supermarkets in every town—are restated multiple times without adding new depth. Cohesive devices are limited and often used incorrectly, such as the repetitive use of 'Otherwise' and 'As' to start sentences. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the logical flow between sentences is disjointed. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore,' 'consequently,' 'in contrast') and ensure each paragraph introduces a distinct, well-supported idea that builds upon the previous one.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is basic and repetitive. Words like 'supermarket,' 'needs,' and 'things' are used frequently, which limits the range of expression. There are also errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'supermarkets are consist of' (should be 'consist of') and 'advantageous innovation' (which is slightly awkward in this context). The vocabulary is sufficient to convey the basic message, but it lacks the precision and variety required for higher bands. You should aim to incorporate more topic-specific vocabulary related to global trade, logistics, and consumer habits to demonstrate a wider range.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow of reading. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('supermarkets is,' 'government should provides'), incorrect verb forms ('people needs to travel,' 'they did not cook'), and awkward sentence structures. There is a lack of complex sentence structures; most sentences are simple or contain errors when attempting to link ideas. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and the correct use of tenses. Practising the construction of complex sentences using relative clauses or conditional structures will also help improve your range.
