Student answer (Band 6.5)
A supermarket is a market where we can find all the essential things at one location. In recent times, the consumers of many countries of the world usually go to the supermarket to purchase food. I think this is a positive development and my justification will be discussed below in this essay.
In the supermarkets, the customers do not go to different market for buy different kind of food products, so this is time saving option for their. In this era, time is the most valuable thing for all, and everybody try to highest uses of their time where the supermarket is the better market place to buy food goods rather then the naked market place in the perspective of the time. According to the report of The Daily Star, a Bangladeshi leading newspaper, “From the period of 2015- 2025, the 25% of people are more attractive to buy food products from the supermarket for their time savings.” So, I think the view of time savings, the supermarket attraction is the one of the positive development.
On the other hand, the customer like to go to the supermarket then the open market for the reason of the quality of the products. Some people think that open market is the best option for making purchase of food products, but there are not any Guarente of the quality of the food. Conversely, the supermarket is the faithful to their customer to serve the premier quality of products whatever it would be food products or anything else. The survey of the Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP), the supermarket sale the highest qualities of product specially of the food products which are very standard to eat. So, the consumer of many countries go to the supermarket rather then open market for the ensuring the quality of the products which they are purchased.
In the conclusion, I eventually stand with the people who like to buy food product from the super market. However, supermarket is one of the positive development to purchase the food product for the savings customers time and ensuring the quality of the food.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The essay addresses the prompt by arguing that the availability of global food in supermarkets is a positive development. You clearly state your position in the introduction and maintain it throughout. However, the prompt specifically asks about food produced 'all over the world' (globalization/importation), whereas your response focuses almost exclusively on the convenience and quality of supermarkets compared to local markets. You missed the opportunity to discuss the implications of global food trade, such as environmental impact or cultural exchange. While the ideas are relevant to the general topic, they do not fully address the specific 'global' aspect of the prompt, which limits the depth of your argument.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use some cohesive devices like 'In recent times', 'On the other hand', and 'In the conclusion'. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and there are issues with referencing. For example, 'their' is used incorrectly in 'time saving option for their', and 'the supermarket' is used repetitively. The logical progression is generally clear, but the transition between the idea of time-saving and the idea of quality could be smoother. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate your two main supporting points.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
Your vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. You rely on basic terms like 'good', 'better', and 'best'. There are several instances of awkward word choices and collocations, such as 'naked market place' (likely meaning open-air market) and 'faithful to their customer to serve'. You also have some spelling errors like 'Guarente'. To improve, focus on using more sophisticated collocations and precise terminology related to trade and consumer habits rather than repeating simple phrases.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'the supermarket sale the highest qualities'), incorrect preposition usage, and article errors (e.g., 'the 25% of people'). While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. You should focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy, particularly with verb forms and pluralization, to ensure your complex sentences are constructed correctly.
