Student answer (Band 6.5)
For ages, humans have been trading with other nations or regions and exchanging goods for consumtion by the local people because in this ways they can access those products which they can not get from their own region. I strongly consider this development as positive aspect for some reasons.
Initially, trading usually brings the new products in local markets and it also impact the inflation rate because this reduces the demand of those items due to their excessive availablity and the supermarkets reduce the prices just because of oversupply of the goods. For example, mangos are not grown locally in many counties so they need import them but sometimes just because of oversupply the local markets reduces the prices for buyers and it ulimaty brings a positive impact in society and also helps in the reduction of inflation which financially give some support for the residents.
Secondly, the specific food brought from the other regions of the world is mostly available in more good quality then the importer's country which also brings health benefits and strengthen the consumer's trust on the imported items. This development also strengthen the bilateral relations between both nations just because of these kinds of trades. For instance, many countries usually import items only for the purpose of quality of the food and for making more good relations the exporter country.
In conclusion, I reach to this point that our supermarkets should contains food from all over the world for providing ultimate benefits to the consumer as a good deed.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position that the availability of global food is a positive development. You provide two main arguments: economic benefits through inflation reduction and improved quality/bilateral relations. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the claim that oversupply reduces inflation is a bit simplistic and could be better explained with more precise economic reasoning. While you cover all parts of the task, the supporting examples, such as the mention of mangoes, are a bit generic. To reach a higher band, aim to provide more detailed, nuanced explanations for your arguments to ensure they are fully developed.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central theme. You use basic cohesive devices like 'Initially', 'Secondly', and 'In conclusion' to signal the structure of your argument. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the use of referencing is occasionally imprecise, such as in the phrase 'in this ways'. The transition between ideas within paragraphs could be smoother. To improve, try to use a wider variety of linking words and ensure that pronouns and references clearly point back to the intended nouns to improve the overall logical progression of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your meaning clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'inflation rate', 'oversupply', and 'bilateral relations'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and minor errors, such as 'consumtion' (spelling), 'more good quality' (should be 'better quality'), and 'ulimaty' (spelling). The range of vocabulary is somewhat limited, relying on fairly common expressions. To increase your score, focus on using more precise collocations and ensure accurate spelling of academic vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'they need import them' (missing 'to'), 'local markets reduces' (subject-verb agreement), and 'supermarkets should contains' (incorrect verb form). These errors are noticeable but do not generally impede the reader's understanding of your main points. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of infinitives and modal verbs. Increasing the frequency of error-free sentences will help you move into the higher band categories.
