Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses both sides of the argument, discussing the benefits of international food availability and the drawbacks regarding local farmers and environmental impact. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited and occasionally repetitive. While you clearly state your position in the introduction and conclusion, some points, such as the mention of 'better nutrition,' are not fully explained or supported with sufficient detail. The structure is logical, but the arguments could be extended further to reach a higher band. The response meets the task requirements by providing reasons and examples, though the depth of analysis is inconsistent.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Moreover,' 'Nevertheless,' and 'On the other hand' to link sentences and paragraphs. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, such as 'To embark with' (which is not a standard phrase) and 'To conclusion' (should be 'In conclusion'). Additionally, some sentences are disjointed, and the flow between ideas could be smoother. The referencing is generally clear, but the overall cohesion would benefit from more varied and precise linking words.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The range of vocabulary is adequate for the task but shows significant limitations. There are frequent spelling errors, such as 'contamparary,' 'supproting,' 'purches,' 'varity,' 'etan,' 'vegatables,' 'deffernt,' 'sesons,' 'paople,' 'haelthy,' 'trtade,' and 'expansive.' These errors are noticeable and occasionally distract the reader. While you attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'international trade,' 'carbon emissions,' and 'local farmers,' the lack of precision and the high frequency of spelling mistakes prevent a higher score. To improve, focus on mastering the spelling of common academic and topic-related words.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('It is belives that'), incorrect word forms ('international food import more expansive'), and awkward phrasing ('By means of Environmental pollution'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with spacing after commas and periods. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence construction limits the score. You should focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring that complex sentences are constructed accurately.
