Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is widely accepted that this development has lead to enhance our economy. However, it has always been a serious topic of discussion, and in my view, it's the best facility that a nation can provide to it's citizen. There are numerous sources of food in the city, and to provide them to the entire city is certainly a big ask. Overall, the process involves several stages, beginning with food production by farmers and ending with its distribution to consumers through the market. The entire chain works to provide food to people, and that's how this development has been successful all over the years.
Furthermore, purchasing of food by the consumers in a positive development indeed. It has made living so easy, that anyone can just visit the market to buy any item to end his hunger. Moreover, many countries have achieved this and some are still working to provide this type of facility to it's people. A good example is Japan, where supermarkets import beef from Australia and seafood from Norway, providing customers with a wider variety of high-quality food products. Nowadays, it has become easier for the citizen to purchase any kind of food they like from all over the world. They are blessed with choices. You will witness several chains of one brand in many countries, the food cycle is dominating globally.
In conclusion, it is generally accepted that people love this development and they label it as the best facility they have been provided with. In my opinion, the sense of acquiring food from other countries is really beneficial and good for the economy as well.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position that the availability of global food is a positive development. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. While you mention economic benefits and consumer convenience, the arguments lack depth and specific analysis. For instance, you mention that the process involves several stages, but this does not directly support your stance on whether the development is positive or negative. To improve, focus on providing more detailed explanations for your arguments, such as discussing the impact on local farmers or the environmental cost of food miles, rather than describing the general supply chain process.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, and there is a logical progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'Furthermore' and 'In conclusion,' to link your thoughts. However, some transitions feel mechanical, and the connection between sentences is occasionally weak. For example, the transition from the first paragraph's discussion of the supply chain to the second paragraph's focus on consumer choice is abrupt. To reach a higher band, ensure that each sentence flows naturally into the next and that your cohesive devices are used to show clear relationships between ideas rather than just acting as signposts.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your meaning clearly. You use some relevant terms like 'distribution,' 'import,' and 'high-quality.' However, the range is somewhat limited, and there are instances of imprecise word choice, such as 'best facility' to describe a global food market, which is not the most natural collocation. You also rely on some repetitive phrasing. To improve, try to incorporate more sophisticated vocabulary related to global trade and consumerism, and pay closer attention to collocations to ensure your language sounds more natural and precise.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are several persistent grammatical errors that detract from the quality of the writing. Specifically, there are issues with subject-verb agreement and possessive pronouns, such as 'lead to enhance' (should be 'led to the enhancement of') and 'it's citizen' (should be 'its citizens'). Additionally, 'purchasing of food... in a positive development' is missing a verb. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to limit your score. Focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy, particularly with articles, verb forms, and possessives.
