Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response is significantly under the 250-word minimum requirement, which severely limits the development of your ideas. While you attempt to address both sides of the argument, the points are underdeveloped and lack sufficient supporting evidence. The conclusion is incomplete, cutting off mid-sentence, which means you failed to provide a clear summary or final position. To improve, you must expand your arguments with more detailed examples and ensure you complete the essay structure. Currently, the response is too brief to fully explore the complexities of the topic, resulting in a low score for task achievement.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay uses basic cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand' and 'Furthermore' to link ideas, which provides a degree of logical progression. However, the paragraphing is disrupted by the incomplete nature of the final paragraph. The flow of ideas is somewhat mechanical, and the lack of a finished conclusion hinders the overall coherence of the piece. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider range of cohesive devices to connect sentences more naturally and ensure that every paragraph is fully developed and logically concluded.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for basic communication but lacks the precision and range expected at higher levels. There are several spelling errors, such as 'supermaket', 'industrail', and 'generatd', which distract the reader. You rely on simple phrasing like 'all kinds of food' and 'every kind of food', which could be replaced with more sophisticated terminology. To improve, focus on learning collocations and academic vocabulary related to global trade and consumerism, and pay closer attention to your spelling during the proofreading stage.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The text contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors. Examples include 'this cause the availability' (subject-verb agreement), 'different countries dishes' (possessive error), and 'wether' (spelling). The sentence structure is often repetitive, and the incomplete final sentence demonstrates a lack of control over complex sentence construction. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and article usage, and practice writing more varied, error-free complex sentences to demonstrate better control over English grammar.
