Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention benefits like variety and economic growth, and drawbacks like transport costs and local competition, these points are not fully extended or supported with specific, concrete examples. The explanation remains somewhat superficial. To reach a higher band, you should elaborate on how international trade specifically impacts local farmers or provide a more detailed example of how global food availability affects consumer habits. The conclusion is a bit repetitive and does not add new insight to the argument.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'Furthermore' to link your points. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where the flow is interrupted by awkward phrasing, such as 'I will discuss on it'. Additionally, some sentences lack clear logical connections, making the transition between ideas feel slightly disjointed. Improving the variety and precision of your linking words would enhance the overall coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it is somewhat repetitive and lacks precision. Phrases like 'in all over world' are used multiple times and are grammatically incorrect. You attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary, such as 'international trade' and 'competitive prices', but the range is limited. There are several instances of word choice errors, such as 'consumes the food' instead of 'consume food' or 'access to enjoy'. To improve, you should focus on using more sophisticated collocations and avoiding repetitive phrasing to demonstrate a wider range of vocabulary.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include incorrect preposition usage ('in all over world'), subject-verb agreement errors ('international trade are', 'it maintain'), and awkward sentence construction ('The consumers have to access to enjoy the every season food'). While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. You should focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and article usage to improve your accuracy.
