Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 88 words. Consequently, the task is only partially addressed. The ideas presented, such as the convenience of supermarkets and the increase in trade, are extremely underdeveloped and lack the necessary supporting evidence or examples required for an academic essay. The position is stated but not sustained or explored in any meaningful depth. To improve, you must expand your arguments with specific examples and ensure you meet the length requirement to allow for a full development of your ideas.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0

The essay lacks a clear structure. There is no logical progression of ideas, and the paragraphing is non-existent. Cohesive devices are largely absent, and the few attempts at linking ideas, such as 'One of the main reason is', are grammatically incorrect and do not effectively connect the sentences. The text feels like a collection of disjointed thoughts rather than a cohesive argument. To improve, you should use clear topic sentences for each paragraph and employ a wider range of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'however') to guide the reader through your argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.0

The vocabulary used is very basic and repetitive. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'having supermarket in developed counties if gift for them' and 'All the thing of their daily utility'. These errors make the meaning difficult to follow at times. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas effectively. You should focus on learning topic-specific vocabulary related to globalization and trade, and practice using these words in complete, grammatically correct sentences to improve your precision and range.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that impede communication. There are significant issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'many different countries having supermarkets'), sentence fragments, and incorrect word order. The range of structures is very limited, consisting mostly of simple, error-prone sentences. There is no evidence of complex sentence structures. To improve, you need to focus on basic sentence construction, ensuring every sentence has a clear subject and verb, and work on mastering fundamental grammar rules such as article usage, pluralization, and verb tenses.
