Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position that the availability of global food is a positive development. However, the development of ideas is inconsistent. While you mention economic benefits and cultural exchange, the arguments are somewhat superficial and occasionally drift into irrelevant territory, such as the specific mechanics of Indian tax collection. The conclusion is also weak, as it introduces a contradictory point about 'negatives' that was not explored in the body paragraphs. To improve, ensure each paragraph focuses on a single, well-supported idea that directly relates to why this trend is positive, rather than listing general economic concepts.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is often hindered by awkward phrasing and mechanical transitions. While you use cohesive devices like 'To commence with' and 'Moving on further', they are sometimes used incorrectly or feel forced. Referencing is occasionally unclear, particularly in the second paragraph where the link between importing food and the impact on local currency is confusing. Paragraphing is present, but the final paragraph is underdeveloped and does not effectively summarize the preceding arguments. Improving the flow between sentences and ensuring each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary range is limited and contains several errors that occasionally impede clarity. You rely on basic terms and struggle with collocations, such as 'convenient stores' instead of 'convenience stores' and 'oversees produced' instead of 'overseas-produced'. There are also frequent spelling errors like 'eassy', 'supermakets', 'coustomer', and 'carrency'. While you attempt to use some topic-specific language, the lack of precision and the repetitive nature of the word choices suggest a need for a wider range of vocabulary. Focusing on learning word families and correct spelling will help you move to a higher band.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay displays a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but grammatical errors are frequent and pervasive. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('supermakers goes', 'every individuals has'), incorrect article usage, and awkward sentence construction ('by making trades from different countries it increase the demande'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma placement. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence structure prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. You should focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring that your complex sentences are constructed with correct grammatical links.
