Student answer (Band 5.5)
In recent years , it has become increasingly common to see that customers visit to the supermarket or grocery stores and buy food which is originally belongs to another country and it produced all over the world. In my Opinion it is a positive development for all indivuduals consumers, This essay will explain why I hold this point of view in details.
To begin with, one major reason is that people can find food from all over the world in their own country, they do not need to travel to taste famous food from other nations. This means that people who enjoy food another countries and they do not have enough funds to travel there, it is good options for them to try it from their nearby supermaket or local shop. For example, In India and Pakistan everyone is obsessed with american chips brand name lays, however for every person it is not convinient and affordable to visit there and have a lays chips, therefore they preferred to buy it from their nearby shops.
Another important reason is that People have large number options to try in their meal and snack times. In other words people have a chance to taste different kind of food item in which different kind of spices, herbs and ingredients used and sometimes it turned out good alternative options of local food products. For instance, In India Nowadays, young person who like to eat some frymes or some fried items have another options like crisps or baked wafers which has different ingredients and less unhealthy.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that buy food produced all over the world is a positive development because people can find food from all over the world in their hometown and they have vast variety of food to tried it out.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position that the availability of global food is a positive development. The ideas are relevant, focusing on accessibility and variety. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat repetitive and lacks depth. For instance, the argument about 'not needing to travel' is a good starting point, but the example regarding 'Lays chips' is slightly simplistic and does not fully explore the broader economic or cultural implications of global food trade. To reach a higher band, you should aim to extend your arguments with more sophisticated reasoning and broader societal examples rather than focusing primarily on personal convenience.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. There is an attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'In other words', and 'In conclusion'. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where referencing is unclear or awkward, such as in the phrase 'people who enjoy food another countries and they do not have enough funds'. The transition between ideas could be smoother to improve the overall progression of the argument. Paragraphing is used appropriately, which helps the reader follow the structure of your response.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your meaning clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'ingredients', 'affordable', and 'convenient'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and awkward phrasing, such as 'which is originally belongs to another country' and 'young person who like to eat some frymes'. There is also some repetition of basic vocabulary. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and a wider range of academic vocabulary to express your ideas with greater sophistication and accuracy.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('food which is originally belongs'), article usage, and sentence fragments or run-on sentences. For example, 'In my Opinion it is a positive development for all indivuduals consumers, This essay will explain...' contains a comma splice. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement would significantly improve your accuracy.
