Student answer (Band 6.0)
The globalization of Different food products have both Pro's and Con's respectively due to various factors.
In the positive side, Globalization of Food is an advantage and specially it has so many benefits to consumers. It allows them to buy different cultural food items that might be rare in their country such as trying Korean food products being in a European country, and it would also give a chance for them to settle into healthy diets in another country like following an Indian vegan food products being in a country like USA. In my experience Australian milk products and Swiss Chocolate products were rare in our country but with the Globalization there so many of these products available in Super Markets. Moreover it let the consumer indulge an experience that is truly foreign to them, such as trying an Dubai Chocolate being in India might have been a dream but with the globalization it has become a realistic dream and an experience.
In the negative side, there are so many unhealthy food patterns circulating which affect the global health situation. Consumers buy oily, salty products too much pocketing up money into foreign economies and end up with an un healthy diet pattern and various Non communicable diseases. In my experience people buy Korean Ramen, a dry noodles product and too much of it's preservative substances may cause harm to digestive systems.
Overall, the globalization of Food Products has its own positive and negative impacts and Consumers are responsible of managing the access to these products wisely.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both positive and negative aspects of globalized food trade. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the argument regarding 'unhealthy food patterns' is supported by a single example of Korean Ramen, which lacks depth. The position is clear, but the essay would benefit from more nuanced analysis of the economic or environmental implications of global food distribution to reach a higher band. The introduction is quite brief and does not fully outline the scope of the argument, leading to a somewhat limited exploration of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of ideas. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'In the positive side', 'Moreover', and 'In the negative side'. However, some of these transitions are slightly mechanical or non-standard (e.g., 'In the positive side' should be 'On the positive side'). Referencing is generally clear, but the flow between sentences within paragraphs could be smoother. The concluding paragraph is a bit abrupt and could better synthesize the main points discussed in the body paragraphs to provide a more comprehensive summary.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. There are several instances of awkward phrasing, such as 'pocketing up money' and 'un healthy diet pattern'. While the student attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'globalization' and 'non-communicable diseases', the overall range is limited. Some word choices are repetitive, and there are minor errors in collocation, such as 'specially it has so many benefits' instead of 'specifically, it offers many benefits'. To improve, the student should focus on using more sophisticated collocations and avoiding informal or non-standard expressions.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are frequent grammatical errors, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('The globalization of Different food products have'), capitalization ('Different', 'Pro's', 'Con's'), and punctuation. Some sentences are overly long and lack clear structure, such as the second sentence in the second paragraph. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are persistent throughout the text. The student needs to focus on basic sentence construction, consistent capitalization, and the correct use of articles and prepositions to improve accuracy.
