Student answer (Band 6.0)
In several countries consumers can buy food and things that are produced from all over the world when they go to a supermarket. I think there are some disadvantages, however this is positive development for country economy and this can create culture exposer.
The production of food that export from another country can help the organizers and farmer to learn money, because when any food is exported to country some amount of tariff is taken. People usually buy the food products from Japan, Mexico and Italian because they want there taste in their food. For example, Indian supermarkets offers new options of chocolates, sauces and cold drinks. There are several time when the food products which are famous for are mostly export to other country that can create cultural exchange and try new taste of foods.
At the same time the exporting of food to other country has very long process. The large amount of transportation is required, that much amount of fuel is needed and because of that the cost of product also gets increased. The another drawback is for local seller, if people will buy from world it will highly affect on small farmers and local businesses. Nevertheless, this can be prevent by encouraging people to first buy local products.
In conclusion, although importing food from different country can increase environmental problems and create pressure on local producers. But I consider it a positive development because consumers get multiple options and create cultural exchange and supports international economic activity.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the positive and negative aspects of global food trade. You clearly state your position in the introduction and maintain it throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the explanation of how tariffs help farmers is unclear and lacks logical depth. While you mention environmental concerns and the impact on local businesses, these points could be expanded with more specific examples or a more detailed analysis of the consequences. To reach a higher band, ensure that each supporting point is fully explained rather than just stated.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use some cohesive devices such as 'At the same time', 'Nevertheless', and 'In conclusion' to link ideas. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the use of referencing is occasionally imprecise, such as in the second paragraph where the connection between 'organizers' and 'tariff' is confusing. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the advantages and disadvantages, which helps the reader follow your argument. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that the transition between sentences is smoother.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your meaning clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'exporting', 'transportation', and 'economic activity'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choices and inaccuracies, such as 'learn money' (instead of 'earn money'), 'culture exposer' (instead of 'cultural exposure'), and 'there taste' (instead of 'their taste'). These errors occasionally distract the reader. To achieve a higher score, focus on using more precise collocations and ensure that you are using the correct word forms in context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, they often contain grammatical errors, such as 'the food products which are famous for are mostly export to other country' and 'this can be prevent'. There are also frequent errors in subject-verb agreement and article usage (e.g., 'for country', 'the another drawback'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to lower the score. Increasing your control over basic grammar and proofreading for common errors like pluralization and verb tense would significantly improve your writing.
