Student answer (Band 5.0)

In today's time different countries can grow or produce different types of food or ingridents. So other country country export their different varity of food in our country and we can buy that food from supermarket. I think this is a positive development which are mentioned in the following paragraphs.

On the one hand, So when other country import or export their food or product with us. Then our relation is better with that country and that help in our country difficult situation. And when the food coming in our country and people buy that food from super market so that is useful for country economy. For example:- When people buy other regions food from supermarket so that is very healthy and beniffitial from our body. Because the foreign country didn't produce food from any medicine they produce naturally for that reason that is good for health.

On the other hand, the shops dealer buy lot of quantities of other country food for selling in their shop and the people also buy from that shop so the shop keepers also earn more money. So this oppurtunity for the shop keeper and also help to earn more money. For example:- when the consumers but from super market so they requirment of that product increase so they buy different varities of that food from different countrys.

In conclusion, I think that that is positive side of this statement because they create good relation all around world and also increase our country economy.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position that the availability of global food is a positive development. However, the development of ideas is limited. The arguments regarding economic benefits and international relations are repetitive and lack depth. For instance, the claim that foreign food is 'naturally' produced and therefore healthier is a generalization that lacks logical support or specific evidence. The response touches on the main points but fails to extend them sufficiently to reach a higher band, as the reasoning remains superficial throughout the essay.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow between ideas is often mechanical and sometimes confusing. The use of cohesive devices is repetitive, particularly the overuse of 'So' and 'And' to start sentences, which creates a disjointed reading experience. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'that is useful for country economy,' where the antecedent is vague. While there is a basic logical progression, the lack of sophisticated linking words and the repetitive structure of the arguments hinder the overall coherence of the response.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, often relying on basic terms like 'food', 'buy', and 'country'. There are frequent spelling errors, such as 'ingridents', 'varity', 'beniffitial', and 'oppurtunity', which occasionally make the text difficult to follow. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas, and the word choices are often imprecise, such as 'shops dealer' instead of 'retailers' or 'merchants'. To improve, you should focus on learning topic-specific collocations and ensuring accurate spelling of common academic terms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures. There are frequent grammatical errors, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('other country country export'), article usage ('in our country'), and sentence fragments ('For example:- When people buy...'). Complex sentence attempts are rare and often contain errors that impede clarity. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the misuse of colons and hyphens. A greater focus on sentence variety and mastering basic grammatical rules, such as pluralization and verb tense consistency, is necessary to improve this score.
