Student answer (Band 5.5)

Globally, the consumers can go to a supermarket and they often purchase everyday commodities that produced around the world. Many people assume that it trigger cultural homogenization and threaten national sovereighnity, while others consider that as a positive development. I firmly believe that a highly positive transformation to our society and ecnomic progression.

To begin with, one primary reason why I support the perspective is that globalisation makes our life much convenient and efficient as individuals can buy commodities produced by foreign countries, ultimately promote reciprocity between nations. Far from being a cultural erosion, people around the world can share a genuine cultural exchange and they become aware about various customs, norms, traditions, and heritages. Moreover, they get the opportunity to improve communication skills regardless of geographical boundaries. To illustrate that, young generation nowadays often play online games such as Free Fire, Pubg, and other multiplayer games with dwellers from different states. As a result of globalisation, people not only exchange cultures or enhances reciprocity, but rather boost their repetore of knowledge about various aspects of our lives.

Another determining factor is that transform world into a global village and promotes seamless internation trade in the long run. This is happening because a significant amount of populace become familiar with producats and they also wanted to try them, resulting a commercial benefit to nations and empower multination corporations. Furthermore, individuals in our modern era, follow enormous famous persons such as doctors, scientist, artist, and other professionals, which unarguably reinforce relationship between nations and helps residents to get a profound insight into others religion, events, and thier lifestyle. As a case in point, many people puchase products like, fashion items or sophisticated device accociat with modern lifestyle, thereby producing by other countries. Therefore, global population stand to benefit from multi-cultural exchanges and global trade.

In conclusion, although excessive internation businesses create a few pressing issues to others cultural practices, it is my conviction that in the long term it brings several positive consequences to people's life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of globalized food trade. The ideas are relevant, focusing on cultural exchange and economic benefits. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the example of playing online games like 'Free Fire' is only tangentially related to the topic of supermarket food imports. The argument regarding 'famous persons' is also slightly disconnected from the core theme of food consumption. To reach a higher band, you should ensure that your examples directly support the specific topic of global food trade rather than general globalization.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. You use cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Moreover', and 'In conclusion' to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel mechanical, and the logical flow within paragraphs is occasionally disrupted by awkward phrasing, such as the transition from discussing food to discussing online gaming. Referencing is generally clear, but the connection between sentences could be smoother to improve the overall progression of your argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'homogenization', 'sovereignty', and 'reciprocity'. However, there are several instances of incorrect word choice and spelling errors, such as 'ecnomic', 'producats', 'puchase', and 'accociat'. Additionally, some collocations are unnatural, such as 'follow enormous famous persons'. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your meaning, they indicate a need for more careful proofreading and a better grasp of word forms and spelling to reach a higher band.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, they often contain grammatical errors, such as 'commodities that produced' (missing 'are') and 'resulting a commercial benefit' (missing 'in'). There are also frequent subject-verb agreement issues, such as 'the consumers can go' (should be 'consumers') and 'many people... follow... which... helps' (should be 'help'). Punctuation is generally functional, but the frequency of these grammatical slips limits the score, as the majority of sentences are not error-free.
