Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the modern era, many countries can transport their produced food all over the world and consumers can go to the supermarket and purchased these products. I largely believe it is a positive development. Further points are elaborated below with reasons and examples.
Looking at the brighter sides one key reason is that people can have more knowledge about other countries food. This is largely because consumer can exchange there culture they can have more details about other countries ingredients, taste and preferences. Consequently this can result into a good relationship with other countries. For instance: In Indian supermarkets we can buy a pizza base which is popular fast food in Italy.
Another advantages is that this will be beneficial for shop owners. This is because at the time of unexpected climate change or due to other reasons shop owner will not be able to fulfilled customer demands. But they can import such product from other countries. As a result this is beneficial for shop owner as well as for consumers. For example In China during the Monsson season they import fruits such as mango, kiwi and banana from other countries.
On the other hand there are some drawbacks such as problem for local sellers. Because, due to the huge demand for export food products their local food can suffer. There for government should take precaution and should add limitation for exported food product's. As this can lead to a positive effect and both of government take actions against this problems.
In conclusion, This is a positive development as consumers can have more knowledge about others culture. There are some drawback but that can be tackle by government while taking precautions.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position and providing reasons for both the positive and negative aspects. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding 'cultural exchange' is a bit superficial, and the example of pizza in India is not fully explained in terms of how it benefits the consumer. The second body paragraph regarding shop owners is more relevant but could be expanded with more depth. While all parts of the task are addressed, the support for the arguments remains somewhat basic, which prevents the response from reaching a higher band. To improve, focus on extending your arguments with more detailed explanations and logical consequences.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the argument. There is a logical progression from the introduction to the body paragraphs and the conclusion. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'Looking at the brighter sides one key reason is...' and 'Another advantages is...'. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, and some transitions between sentences feel abrupt. Improving the variety and accuracy of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would enhance the flow and coherence of the essay.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are some attempts at using less common vocabulary, such as 'precaution' and 'elaborated', but there are also frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'result into' instead of 'result in', 'fulfilled customer demands' instead of 'fulfil', and 'exported food product's' (incorrect pluralisation). The range is sufficient to communicate the main points, but the lack of precision and the presence of word-form errors limit the score. Focusing on learning common collocations and checking word forms will help improve this score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'consumer can exchange there culture' (should be 'their'), 'Another advantages is' (subject-verb agreement), and 'both of government take actions against this problems' (incorrect phrasing). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of colons and commas. While the errors do not impede communication, they are frequent enough to suggest a lack of control over more complex structures. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and basic sentence construction would be beneficial.
