Student answer (Band 6.0)
In recent years, people can find conveniently exported food products in the grocery stores. I considered it as a positive development, because trading of goods can be beneficial for country's economy, and individuals can enjoy the taste of variety of food produced all over the world. This essay will discuss further with an explanation and examples.
Primarily, importing food items from all over the globe would be advantageous for the economy, because it will open a plethora of opportunities for the businesses. They can earn profit by selling their products to a supermarket. Moreover, people can send their food products to other countries to earn money. For example, several people are exporting ginger from Thailand to the Europe. Hence, import and export of goods can be valuable for the world.
Furthermore, individuals can get pleasure from tasting the international food items, which they can find easily in the supermarket. In addition, it can help them to be touch with their roots, and also they can feel the taste of other countries' edibles. For instance, many overseas students can find their country's food items in the international food section in the supermarket. Additionally, Pakistani community in Australia can eat Pakistani imported mangoes.
In conclusion, although importing and exporting of food items from all over the world can be good for state, and overseas individuals can get pleasure from tasting their countries' food, the government needs to focus on trading market to get advantage from the global market. There are many aspects to pay attention.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position that the availability of global food is a positive development. The ideas are relevant, focusing on economic benefits and personal convenience. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the example of exporting ginger from Thailand to Europe is a bit vague, and the conclusion introduces a new, slightly disconnected point about government regulation rather than summarising the main arguments. To reach a higher band, you should aim to extend your supporting arguments with more depth and ensure the conclusion directly reflects the points already discussed.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. Cohesive devices such as 'Primarily', 'Moreover', 'Furthermore', and 'In conclusion' are used to guide the reader through the argument. However, the flow within paragraphs is sometimes mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally repetitive. For example, the phrase 'in the supermarket' is used frequently, which makes the text feel slightly monotonous. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that pronouns or synonyms are used to avoid repetitive noun phrases would enhance the overall cohesion of the essay.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'advantageous', 'plethora', and 'edibles'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation. For example, 'be touch with their roots' should be 'be in touch with their roots', and 'trading market' is not the most natural collocation in this context. While the vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning clearly, it lacks the precision and flexibility required for higher bands. Focusing on learning collocations and more sophisticated academic synonyms will help elevate your lexical score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors, such as 'I considered it as a positive development' (should be 'I consider it a positive development') and 'the Europe' (should be 'Europe'). Additionally, there are minor issues with article usage and prepositions throughout the text. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles with geographical names.
