With the rapid advancement of the modern world, there has been remarkable change in consumer habits. Consumers can buy food produced all over the globe from a supermarket. This development is a positive development as it gives them a chance to try a hybrid vegetable or fruit that might not be available in their country or region. Another prospect of it is that it shares a culture and tradition.

To commence with the positive aspects of availability of foods in a supermarket all over the world. The most prominent reason is that gives an opportunity to try a vegetable or fruit that is not grown in a country. This is a positive development as the grocery stores sells a food item that is well-liked by the consumers of their country, than they might order that food again, increasing the demand for it. Therefore, it supports the global trade and import-export; encouraging globalization. For example, from a recent report, India is a global exporter of Beef, therefore, this lead to a support to other country's in terms of food and also encourages global trade system.

Another asset of consumers being able to buy food produced from all over the world is that it promotes cultural exchange and continuity of traditions. This is because as people try food of various country, the background of food comes with a story and the recipe that somehow relates to a particular culture and traditions. For instance, India exports ready-to-eat food packages to countries like Canada and USA which promotes consumers to try various cuisine from India, leading to mutual benefits. As such country gets food items produced from globe, their sales increases, whereas, it leads to increase in the demand for the country exporting it. Therefore, sharing the culture and traditions through food items.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position that the development is positive. The main ideas—access to diverse food and cultural exchange—are relevant. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat repetitive and lacks depth. For instance, the explanation of global trade in the second paragraph is a bit circular, and the example regarding India's beef exports is slightly underdeveloped in its connection to the consumer experience. To reach a higher band, you should provide more specific, nuanced examples and ensure that each paragraph fully explores the implications of your argument rather than restating the main point.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, and there is a logical progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'To commence with' and 'Another asset', to signal transitions. However, some of the linking is mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'Another prospect of it is that it shares a culture'. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, particularly in the second paragraph where the connection between the example and the main argument is somewhat loose. Improving the variety and naturalness of your cohesive devices would enhance the flow of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'globalization', 'cultural exchange', and 'mutual benefits'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'shares a culture and tradition' (should be 'promotes cultural exchange') and 'this lead to a support to other country's' (should be 'this provides support to other countries'). The vocabulary is generally functional but lacks the precision and sophistication required for higher bands. Focusing on learning collocations and more academic phrasing will help you express your ideas more effectively.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('the grocery stores sells a food item'), pluralization ('other country's'), and subject-verb agreement. Some sentences are also slightly fragmented or awkward, such as 'This is a positive development as the grocery stores sells a food item that is well-liked by the consumers of their country, than they might order that food again'. You need to proofread carefully to address these recurring errors and aim for more error-free complex sentences.
