Student answer (Band 5.0)
In this fast pace, most countries consumers can go to supermarket for purchasing grocery items. These days, there is no need to visit different shops to buy distinguish grocery and it was much difficult to go different shops and recently, there many new online platforms to buy the grocery products with fifteen minutes it would be safely delivered at home. From my perspective, it is a positive impact that would the people time to visit a supermarket to buy complete grocery
of month.
First and foremost, the people of this modern world, have opportunity to buy all kinds of things in the same supermarket. Furthermore, the people the people these days, are having opportunity to save time and energy by buying detergent, soaps, rice and different products easily. To cite an example, my mother does her whole shopping of groceries once in a month troughs supermarket located near our residency. As a result, it is being very easy for people to buy grocery at a mart.
secondly, it is also being very simple to buy different products online. Recently, I taught my mother about online shopping and then she learned perfectly. For instance , once my mother went somewhere out, and grocery was not there at home and my father was alone at home and he is having zero knowledge about what to buy and then my mother from Puna shopped the complete grocereries online and then my was able to cook food. Consequently in this era it became, super easy to shop grocery very easily.
In conclusion, most people buy the grocery from the near by super market. Either people are preferring to do online shopping or to do shopping through near by located supermarket. I completely agree that it is a positive impact o

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing the convenience of modern shopping, but it fails to engage with the core of the question: the global nature of food production. The essay focuses almost exclusively on the convenience of supermarkets and online shopping rather than the implications of consuming food produced worldwide. Consequently, the response is only partially relevant. While a position is stated, the development of ideas is limited and repetitive, focusing on personal anecdotes about the writer's mother rather than broader societal or economic impacts. To improve, you must ensure your arguments directly address all aspects of the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is often unclear. While some cohesive devices are used (e.g., 'First and foremost', 'Consequently'), they are sometimes used mechanically or inappropriately. The referencing is occasionally confusing, such as in the second paragraph where the narrative about the mother's shopping habits lacks a clear link to the main topic. Paragraphing is present, but the concluding paragraph is incomplete and fails to provide a summary or a final thought, which disrupts the overall coherence of the piece.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, relying heavily on basic terms like 'grocery', 'buy', and 'shopping'. There are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'distinguish grocery' instead of 'distinctive groceries' or 'troughs supermarket' instead of 'through a supermarket'. The range is insufficient to express complex ideas, and the frequent misuse of words occasionally hinders the reader's understanding. To reach a higher band, you should focus on learning topic-specific collocations and synonyms to avoid repeating the same basic vocabulary throughout the essay.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors, including issues with article usage ('the people the people'), verb tense consistency, and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or run-on, such as 'In this fast pace, most countries consumers can go to supermarket...'. There is a lack of complex sentence structures, and the errors in basic grammar often impede the flow of the text. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. Significant improvement in basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement is required.
