Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the contemporary era, people like to try new cuisines. On that note, in numerous nations presently, buyers can go to superstore and buy food produced world-wide. Although there may be a few negative effects of this situation, the positive ones are quite more.
The belief that I hold can be justified by a considerable rationale. Firstly, nowadays people like to try new cuisine so in supermarket all countries food are available then they can try it very easily without going into that particular country. For example, if any person want to try a Thai food then and if Thai food available in supermarket then person can buy this food and try it without going to Thailand. Which helps people to save money. Moreover, if countries have all cuisine food in one place then the country economy will grow because government can import abroad food and sell them in own country with some taxes and all.
Moreover, people get new vegetables and or some new species which are not grow in some countries so people get variety of vegetables as well as species which will help them to enhance their food taste. Furthermore, some fruits and vegetables are grown in particular region so for import and export business relation with other countries become stronger which is beneficial for countries because other countries will help in worse situation. For example, juicy mangoes are mostly grow in India and every year India exports mangoes in all other countries so India get good economic.
To conclude, even though all countries food available at supermarket due to that some countries forget their traditional dishes and give less important to their own traditional dishes, I still believe that world wide food at one supermarket is beneficial due to reasons like healthy relationship, economic growth and variety of fruits, vegetables and spices.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position that the availability of global food is a positive development. You provide relevant arguments, such as economic growth, cultural exposure, and improved international relations. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat repetitive and lacks depth. For instance, the point about 'economic growth' is mentioned in both the second and third paragraphs without significant expansion. To reach a higher band, ensure that each paragraph introduces a distinct, well-supported idea rather than restating similar points. The conclusion acknowledges the counter-argument, which is a good practice for task response.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Moreover', 'Furthermore', and 'To conclude' to signal the progression of your argument. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical, and the flow between sentences is occasionally hindered by grammatical errors. For example, the transition 'On that note' in the introduction feels slightly unnatural. Additionally, some referencing is unclear, such as the phrase 'due to that' in the conclusion, which makes the sentence structure awkward. Improving the variety and naturalness of your linking words will enhance the overall flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'contemporary era', 'cuisine', and 'economic growth'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and incorrect collocations, such as 'all countries food' instead of 'food from all countries', and 'species' when you likely meant 'spices'. The repetition of basic words like 'food', 'supermarket', and 'countries' limits your score. To improve, try to use more synonyms and precise terminology related to international trade and culinary diversity. Some errors, such as 'in worse situation', slightly impede the clarity of your message.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Common issues include missing articles ('in supermarket'), incorrect verb forms ('are not grow'), and subject-verb agreement errors ('India get good economic'). While these errors do not completely prevent the reader from understanding your meaning, they are frequent enough to be distracting. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically article usage and verb tense consistency. Increasing the variety of complex structures while ensuring they are error-free will help you move into a higher band.
